What is recorded when you read this site

Analytics

This site uses Plausible, a cookieless analytics tool, served through this domain rather than a third-party host. It records which pages were viewed and roughly where in the world the visit came from. It does not set a cookie, does not use a device fingerprint to follow you between sites, and does not create a profile.

When you click a link to an operator, one event is recorded: which operator, which page it was on, where on the page the link sat, and the destination. That is how we know which pages are useful. It does not identify you.

What is not collected

• No name, email, phone number or ID number. There is nothing to fill in on this site.
• No account, no login, no saved preferences.
• No advertising cookies, no retargeting pixels, no third-party ad network.
• No cross-site tracking, and nothing sold or licensed to a data broker.

When you leave for an operator

A commercial link carries a tracking parameter identifying First Deposit as the source of the visit. That is how the operator knows to credit us, and it is the entire commercial mechanism of this site.

Once you are on the operator's site, its privacy policy applies and ours does not. Anything you enter there, including the ID and address details required for FICA, is held by the operator. We never see it, and we cannot retrieve or delete it for you.

POPIA

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act you may ask what personal information about you is held, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Information Regulator. In practice this site holds no personal information about you to produce, because none is collected.

Changes

If what is recorded changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top of the page changes on the same day rather than later.
